The Australasian Plant Pathology Society is turning 50 years old. Much has changed in our discipline over that time, indeed some of the topics listed below were largely unheard of 50 years ago. The scientific program is being developed to celebrate our “Strong Foundations” and highlight the latest innovations in plant pathology that will lead to “Future Innovations”.
The topics below have been suggested to span the breadth and depth within our discipline. These topics have been kept deliberately broad such that, with only a few exceptions, submissions from any of the key disciplines represented by our society (bacteriology, mycology, virology and nematology) would be equally appropriate. In addition, entomology submissions are also welcome where the insect/mite involved is a vector of an agent of disease.
Under our six broad themes: Molecular Plant Pathology, Disease Systems, Epidemiology and Modelling, Disease Management and Control, Biosecurity and Diagnostics, are topics we hope you will find interesting. This is not a fixed list of session names but will be shaped accordingly as abstracts are received.
Please place a tick beside any/all sessions to which you might like to submit your abstract.
