Registration Type

All GEO Week 2019 participants, including those attending only side events and/or Industry Track activities, must be registered to enter the venue. The registration process is different according to attendance type.

If you are interested in staying for the week to participate in the GEO Week side events, exhibition or Industry Track events you can do so by selecting one or all of the boxes below.

Registration to attend the Industry Track is AUD $250.00 per person.  Attendance to the Side Events and Exhibition is complimentary.

All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Registering for the Industry Track will allow for participation in not only the Industry Track events but also attendance at the GEO Side Events taking place on the Monday and Tuesday of GEO Week 2019.
The Industry Track will be fully catered with attendees receive morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on each day (Wednesday and Thursday).
Individuals who form part of an official delegation for the Plenary or Summit must register with the GEO Secretariat Official delegates receive complimentary access to all side events, exhibition and Industry Track.  Do not register here.

Platypus Walk
Platypus can be found in many rivers and creeks in the ACT region and can even been spotted in Lake Burley Griffin! If you have ever wanted to see a platypus in the wild, this is your chance. Waterwatch will hold a platypus walk at the Isabella St Footbridge in Queanbeyan on Tuesday 5 November from 6:00-7:00am. You will learn all about these marvellous monotremes while also hearing about the citizen science work conducted by Waterwatch to better understand the local platypus population.

Join Dr Steve Hill for an informal breakfast where he’ll provide geological insights about the Canberra region. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about the international importance of Geoscience Australia’s work.

Terms and Conditions
Registration Cancellation Policy Deadline: 2 October 2019 Cancellations must be notified in writing (via e-mail) to the GEO Week 2019 Industry Track, Exhibition & Side Events Organisers. Cancellations made by 2 October 2019 will result in a full refund less $150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by 2 October 2019 without incurring any cost penalty. The GEO Week 2019 Industry Track, Exhibition & Side Events Organisers must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers. There will be no cancellation allowance for failure to secure a visa to Australia. The Organising Committee reserves final decision on a case by case basis for granting a cancellation in extenuating circumstances. It is recommended that travel insurance be secured personally upon registration. Disclaimer In registering for this event relevant details (name/country) will be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates, and also may be made available (if necessary) to parties directly related to the event including venues, accommodation providers, sponsors, key suppliers and future conferences. Your name and contact information may be used by the GEO Week 2019 Industry Track, Exhibition & Side Events Organisers and other approved stakeholder, for marketing and managing this and future events of this type. Cancellations NO ACCOMMODATION PAYMENTS WILL BE REFUNDED ON OR AFTER 2 October 2019. Delegates who confirm attendance by paying a minimum of the first night and do not advise of cancellation before 2 October 2019 the ‘no show’ rate, as penalised by the hotel will be charged to you and your payment will not be refunded. This charge is calculated as the room rate per night multiplied by the dates booked and secured. Please ensure that accommodation dates are correct at time of booking and before 2 October 2019 if any changes are required. Change of Booking Any change in booking must be made in writing to GEO Week 2019 Industry Track, Exhibition & Side Events Organisers and NOT directly to the hotel before 2 October 2019. Any changes received after 2 October 2019 will be at the hotels discretion and based on availability. Early Arrival As check in at most hotels is not until 1400, it is possible that your room may not be ready for immediate occupation on your early arrival. Whilst hotels will do everything possible to accommodate early arrivals, if you wish to be guaranteed immediate occupation you can pay an extra day’s tariff for the night before you are due to arrive. If you wish to take this precaution, please advise the Accommodation Secretariat on the registration form so we can notify the hotel that your room is required early. Late Arrival Please indicate if you will arrive at your hotel after 1800. Failure to do so might result in your room being released.
