Welcome to the IEEE Photonics Society Travel Grant Application Form for OECC2024

The IEEE Photonics Society provides travel grant opportunities to encourage early career participation at the 2024 Opto-Electronics and Communications Conference (OECC2024). Students pursuing degrees in photonics and optics fields of interest and in early career, up to 15 years post their first degree, are encouraged to apply! Grantees chosen will receive $2,500 USD to help cover travel, lodging expenses, and registration. Each application requires individual responses. Applicants from underrepresented countries will be given priority.

An applicant should be:

· A current student or early career, i.e. graduate, post-doc, young professional, etc., up to 15 years post their first degree.

· An IEEE Photonics Society Member.

· Sponsored by an advisor, professor, mentor or direct supervisor.

· Volunteer experience and/or service in the photonics community is encouraged.

· Must be presenting a paper in OECC2024 (either as a poster or oral)
