Cancellation Policy
Deadline: Sunday 11 August 2024
Cancellations must be notified in writing (e-mail is sufficient) to the Ed Hub Secretariat. Cancellations for in-person registrations made by 11 August 2024 will result in a full refund less $150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by 7 October 2024 without incurring any cost penalty. The Ed Hub Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers. The Organising Committee reserves final decision on a case-by-case basis for granting a cancellation in extenuating circumstances.

Delegates must note that some social functions may reach their capacity limits and tickets are only guaranteed on a first come first served basis. From 11 August 2024, no refunds will be provided for a transfer of registration. There will be no cancellation allowance for failure to secure a visa to Australia. It is recommended that travel insurance be secured personally upon registration. The Ed Hub Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers.

Bronchoscopy and Pleural Hands-on Workshop

Date: Saturday 12 October, 2024

Duration: Half day workshop 
*Please note that the Plural workshop will run twice on Saturday 12 October: once in the morning and repeated in the afternoon.

Target registrants: Advanced trainees and any clinicians wishing to improve skills in common bronchoscopy and pleural procedures.

  • Insertion of Seldinger chest drains (+/- indwelling pleural catheter) 1-on-1 with expert for personalised guidance and critique 
  • Pleural ultrasound with experts (including USGSTAT accreditation sign off if registrants bring logbook)
  • Bronchoscopy (standard bronchial tree inspection using AMBU models) 1-on-1 with expert for personalised guidance and critique 
  • Radial EBUS

  • Airway mapping (Kurimoto technique) vs airway bleed emergency scenario with discussion
